Work with the friendly community of Cairu to help improve lives and protect one of the last remaining areas of Coastal Atlantic Rainforest. Centuries of unsustainable development have reduced the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest to less than 7% of its original size. Join us to increase environmental awareness and to help foster sustainable development to guarantee the future of the forest and its peoples.
The local population exists on the fishing industry together with harvesting certain native materials from the forest. Surprisingly the population is not growing substantially but in today's changing world they are finding it increasingly difficult to earn a living.
Quest Sabbaticas have teamed up with Brazilian charity Amainan Brasil to help provide the support and skills necessary to establish sustainable development in the region and help rescue the Atlantic Rainforest from the brink of extinction.
