Quest Sabbaticals

EXPEDITION LIFE

Accommodation
This will range from tented accommodation and refuges on treks and in National Parks to dormitory accommodation to twin rooms depending on the location and activity. All will be clean and of good quality. We choose all the accommodation because of the friendly local people who run these places, because of the good location and because of the great atmospheres.

Food and drink
Whilst on the Explorer you will be getting the chance to sample traditional South American cuisine. In general you will be eating at your hostel for breakfast, out and about in town for lunch and in a local restaurant in the evening. Volunteers are given some responsibility over the teams’ daily and weekly food budget and so where you eat is often up to you and the rest of the team. Volunteers will mainly eat together, but will also have the opportunity to go out in smaller groups as well.  Whilst on treks the team will take it in turn to cook simple meals on camping stoves.

A day in the life
With such a packed itinerary it is simply impossible to say what a typical day will be like. What is safe to say however is that nearly every day starts early and is filled with new experiences until the moment you go to bed. The explorer has been designed to ensure that you fit in as much as possible during the 6 weeks, whilst giving you the time to relax and make sure that you really can take in the amazing places around you.
