Short term costs:
Food and accommodation;
All on the ground transport;
Project materials for all activities such as the tools, cement, paints, footballs, costumes and anything needed for entertaining the children and carrying out construction work;
Local skilled staff wages for all project work.
Medium term support:
Maintenance and upkeep of project over the next year i.e. funds to pay for local materials and local staff to run year round projects.
Long term commitment:
Alejandro's (Peruvian Project Director) annual salary to manage and run the project year round;
Funds for long term projects such as rental of the building in which the Pre-School runs and buying computers for the school.
£540 Quest Sabbaticals Project Costs

Recces by Operations Managers to assess validity of project aims, maintain the quality of project site and continually check conditions for volunteers;
Year round planning and development of project- including assessing aims and objectives for the project in the short, medium and long term;
Back-up medical support, communications, safety equipment & emergency contingency planning;
Project report write up;
Pre-departure training course and preparation;
Pre-departure Info;
Project Leader training;
Safety equipment and first aid kit, emergency contingency planning, continual risk assessments;
Quest UK staff costs - pre-departure support and 24 hour back-up from the UK, including 24 hour communication availability with leaders;
Quest expedition doctor - 24-hour medical advice and support when you are overseas; Negotiating with flight companies and insurers to provide the best deal for you;
Your Quest T-shirt;
Organisation of the annual Quest Reunion ball.
To Quest:
Selection costs associated with volunteers (Open day and support when signing up);
Selection costs associated with project leaders;
Marketing and administration costs;
Office rental and costs;
Repatriation assistance and emergency back-up funds to cover costs incurred in any unforeseen circumstances, which would not be covered by personal travel insurance. N.B. where this is not utilised, the funds are fed back into the company to develop future expeditions;
