JOURNEY: Ecuador
PURPOSE: Conservation & Environment
DURATION: 4 - 6 weeks, departing 14th July, various starting dates through October & November 2008, 13th July and various starting dates through October & November 2009

The Ecuadorian Cloud Forest is an unexplored wilderness and offers some of the world's richest bio-diversity. Your help is needed to gather scientific data and to ensure the protection of this endangered ecosystem.

Surrounded by lush nature and teeming with wildlife, join QUEST and the Yanayacu Biological Research Station, to gather scientific data and help protect this natural environmental sanctuary. You'll work alongside the local community to increase knowledge about the wealth of the environment and help conserve this fragile and threatened ecosystem.

  • Explore a natural paradise, high in the Ecuadorian Cloud Forest
  • Assist visiting scientists working on groundbreaking research
  • Gather and collate important data to be used by international universities
  • Help with reforestation and environmental awareness and education programmes in the surrounding area

COST: 4 - 6 weeks: £1095 + £680 Project donation / £1105 + £800 Project donation (includes all activities, food, accommodation, in-country transport, airport transfers, training and a donation to the project). Excluding flights and insurance.
