Journey to Marsa Alam, the new frontier of the southern Red Sea. Explore the incredible underwater world of coral reefs frequented by dolphin, dugong, turtle and sharks. Meet like-minded people, make lifelong friends and learn to dive responsibly in the southern Red Sea.
- Dive in the world famous Red Sea and enjoy the renound Egyptian hospitaility
- Help educate the tourists about the local situation and need for conservation
- Live in local style Bedouin tents and enjoy the amazing contrast of the desert and thriving coral seas and seagrass beds of Marsa Alam
Our Egypt placement gives you the opportunity to participate in unique projects in conjunction with our partners ijn Marsa Alam and Abu Dabbab. This is a fantastic opportunity to become involved with marine education for tourists, do a lot of diving and get a feel for the issues affecting the dugong oin the Red Sea. You will assist in coverting scientific findings about dugong tourism into educational resources and practical conservation measures.
Our Expedition runs year-roundand includes diving and snorkelling alongside dugong, turtles and other impressive marine life. You can join for 2-10 weeks.
COST: £1,605 for 4 weeks (includes all dives, training, snorkels, dive equipment, food, accommodation, in-country travel, airport transfers and £50 donation for long-term project support, excludes flights & insurance.)
