SABBATICAL VOLUNTEERING + ADVENTURE TRAVEL ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA

Southern Africa Conservation & Community Project + Southern Africa Explorer

JOURNEY: Swaziland, Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana
PURPOSE: Conservation, wildlife, wetlands & whale sharks
DURATION: 3 months departing 12th Sep '08, 3rd Apr '09, 11th Sep '09

Help to conserve Swaziland's spectacular game reserves and then journey through wild Africa searching for wildlife.

Help conserve Swaziland's spectacular game reserves and then explore Southern Africa searching for wildlife in some of Africa's best game reserves as well as in the depths of the Indian Ocean in Mozambique and the waterways of the Okavango Delta.

Combining conservation with community development, you will be working in the African bush carrying out valuable conservation work to ensure the long term protection of wildlife in Southern Africa. This project also works closely with local communities, from building classrooms for orphaned children to designing environmental education centres to teach children about the importance of conserving the wildlife around them.

The 6 week project is followed by our 6 week Southern Africa Explorer - a journey through wild Africa searching for the big five, learning to scuba dive alongside whale sharks and manta rays, floating along the silent waterways of the Okavango Delta and micro-lighting above the 'smoke that thunders'.

COST: £3390 + £850 project donation (including all activities, food, airport transfers, accommodation and £850 donation to project, excluding flights and insurance) see full cost breakdown
